GAMEVIL Releases Q1 Earnings Report
Berlin, May 19, 2016 | GAMEVIL, a leading mobile games publisher, closed the first quarter of 2016 with a new record in revenue and profit. The earnings report indicated 2016 sales reached 40.8 billion KRW (34 million USD), and an operating profit of 47 billion KRW (39 million USD).
The increase in operation and net profit was due to sales of popular in-house titles and an overall decrease in expenses. This quarter’s Domestic (South Korea) sales reached 15.2 billion KRW (12 million USD) and international sales reached 25.6 billion KRW (21 million USD). International sales have steadily risen within the APAC (55%) and North America/Europe (45%) markets. APAC has seen a drastic 55% gain in sales from Quarter 1 of 2015.
Dragon Blaze and Kritika: The White Knights continue to maintain large revenue gains helping to accumulate more than 80% of sales from the strategy RPG and action RPG genres. Recent titles such as Cartoon Wars and MLB Perfect Inning 16, both released early 2016, maintain a steady performance in both domestic and international markets.
GAMEVIL looks to expand its global success in the strategy and action RPG genres with upcoming titles such as Nine Hearts, Devilian, and War of Crown. All three titles are slated to release in 2016.
GAMEVIL continues to maintain strong relationships within the licensing industry to build brand awareness. In addition to their partnerships with MLB Advanced Media and MLB Player’s Association, GAMEVIL looks to expand its licensed games portfolio with its recent collaboration with Cartoon Network. As part of this partnership, a large add-on for the RPG puzzler Dungeon Link has just been released, featuring famous heroes of the animated series Adventure Time.
